About Us

“Hi everyone,

I’m Claudia (she/her): a 32 year old living in Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia.

I’m a creative/writer; a hip-hop blasting, Disney & Bravo obsessed, lover of all things sparkly & pink & a chronically ill Mum who uses poetry & Diamond Dust as forms of therapy & healing.

My partner & I met when we were 11 years old (didn’t date until we were adults, promise!) & are now engaged with a beautiful (nearly) 3 year old daughter.

For me, Studio Sparkle was born out of both love & loss.

I started experimenting with Diamond Dust art at the end of 2022, after one of the most difficult years of my life.

After some positive feedback, I gifted each of my family members their own sparkly keepsakes on Christmas Day & my sister Vanessa LOVED them!

She couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful she thought they were & that night, plus the weeks following, took extra time to support me further - telling me how special my art was & urging me to turn it into a business because she was sure other people would love it too.

Christmas Day was the last day I ever saw Vanessa in person. She passed away January 4 2023. My heart shatters into one million little pieces every time I have to say that.

At first I didn’t feel comfortable talking about a new business venture & my Sister’s passing in the same breath, but the truth is - Studio Sparkle wouldn’t exist like it does today if it weren’t for Vanessa’s support both here on earth & now from Somewhere Over The Rainbow, too.

Studio Sparkle is what keeps me connected to my sister, it gives me hope I’m making her proud & it helps me try & stay out of the trenches of grief.

I’m hoping my art not only brings the sparkle to your days, but puts them back in mine during the process too.”
